Case Study - Marketing Debuts Innovation

About the Programme

Marketing Debuts had a simple aim: To get more people from diverse backgrounds into the creative industry. Too many young people miss out on opportunities in our sector because they don’t have a degree, a contact in the industry or the circumstances that allow for working for free.

Assessment: Leveraging the £3,000 government bonus for hiring apprentices, we advertised, assessed and hired 45 young people. No specific educational background was required.

The programme: 13 month apprenticeship Associate Project Manager and Digital Community Manager Additional 2 week employability bootcamp Additional networking session for all learners Employer information sessions

“Really practical – love the case studies. Not too much info as well so it was easy to digest.
I really enjoyed the programme. I liked the Bootcamp and meeting apprentices. I also liked the monthly workshops – good to get together.
This was my first 9-5 job and I enjoyed doing different things in the role – creating content, admin, working with people.”
Jasmine. Digital Community Manager Learner.
