Here at Gradvert we are continually talking about learning and development and we believe passionately in fostering a culture of lifelong learning. Our love of learning is brought to life through our courses which aim to help businesses be more productive through developing the skills of their people.

Opportunities should be created in a learning environment to allow all learners the chance to effectively interpret information, irrespective of their learning style, to increase their performance and success. To achieve this, it is important to understand the different types of learning that take place and develop strategies that can benefit everybody.

We have illustrated the different learning styles are seen in this week’s infographic (below). It is important to recognise which types of learning suit your needs so that you can retain information effectively. We recently started working with Cognassist who are on a mission to identify and support Neurodivergent learners.

“CognAssist is an innovative solution developed to enable apprenticeship and work-based learning providers to identify, support and fund learners with additional learning needs.”

Neurodiversity is simply a different way of learning and we are pleased to support all the different types of learning that are found in every classroom.

Our Quality and Compliance Specialist, Andrea Satterthwaite discusses the importance of neurodiversity for learners:

“At Gradvert, we recognise the need to understand our staff and learners, and also give them the opportunity to understand their own learning needs. Through partnering with CognAssist, we aim to improve teaching through an awareness of neurodiversity and its impact on learning. Neuroscience allows us to explore and begin to understand how the human brain functions. The knowledge we gain can be applied to help us understand how people learn and develop so that we can support them to achieve their goals”.
